Prestigious prize for this mother of a family who was awarded the 3rd prize in the Master Mada chef Fort-Dauphin competition, i.e. a week of internship at the prestigious hotel de la Varangue d’Antananarivo

In fact, on May 8, the Escoffiers organized a culinary competition in Fort-Dauphin entitled Master Mada Chef. Let us recall that Les Escoffiers is a learned international company bringing together 170 cooks all disciples of the great Auguste Escoffier. For those who do not know this illustrious character and his talent, he is described as the "pope of modern cuisine", "cook of kings" or "king of cooks". Qualifiers that put him in his place as a great chef.

His current followers held the competition for their 23rd New Member Induction Gala, an award which the top prize winner won in addition to a week's internship at a major facility in Mauritius.

But let's come back to our "home cook" ... If the participants in the competition are mostly chefs or cooks in renowned establishments, Ms. Falyfaly for her part has neither a position in a restaurant nor a truly prestigious culinary list. and yet, she won the 3rd prize in this high level competition.

The juries, made up of 6 Escoffiers chaired by Michel Giacomino, were indeed transported by its medallions of lobster with flavors of the Great South.

For this Master Mada Chef, the theme was indeed on lobster cooked in fatapera. A flagship product of Fort-Dauphin that the competitors had to revisit in their own way using only the fatapera (charcoal grill) as a cooking fire. Each of them had to present to the members of the jury 4 plates in a period of 3 hours and despite her modest experiences, Ms. Falyfaly more than convinced them. Moreover, the jury made a point of specifying that this contest was precisely made to discover new talents.

Congratulations therefore to Ms. Falyfaly and we hope that this culinary competition will experience new editions to update new Malagasy culinary talents.
